Experience:
A minimum of 3 years appropriate experience after registration with the HPCSA in Occupational Therapy.
 
Requirements
Appropriate qualification that allows registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as an Occupational Therapist.
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Knowledge of applicable health legislation, relevant acts and public service policies and procedures. Understanding of evidence-based practice and knowledge of PSR model in a TB/HIV environment. Supervisory experience with good organisational and planning abilities. Fluency in at least two of three official languages of the Western Cape.

Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Provide an effective clinical OT Rehabilitation service at Metro TB Hospital Complex. Ensure that an effective and efficient OT service is provided within MTBHC. Effective human resource management. Conduct relevant research and participate in training.
 
Registration with professional council:
Registration with the HPCSA as an Occupational Therapist.
 
Inherent requirement of the job:
Valid (Code B/EB) driver’s licence.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 466 119-R 517 326 Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
