Requirements
An appropriate 3 - year National Diploma/Degree in Accounting or Auditing.
 
Experience:
Appropriate experience and knowledge in Finance and Supply Chain Management and Auditing. Appropriate experience in effective assessment and monitoring of processes of compliance and risk. Appropriate experience in analysing data, drawing conclusions and performing process mapping on internal controls. Appropriate experience in assessing transactions in line with irregular expenditure prescripts and effective management of staff.
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Computer literacy with extensive experience in Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of internal controls and compliance management with the ability to draft process maps. Knowledge of LOGIS or SYSPRO. Knowledge of AFS sanitisation processes. Knowledge of operational requirements pertaining to assets, inventory, irregular expenditure, commitments and accruals as well as the relevant reporting requirements.
 
Duties (key results areas/outputs):
Management of staff. Development, facilitating and conducting finance related training. Drafting of Standard Operating Processes with regards to Finance and supply chain management best practices. Evaluate expenditure against laws and regulations to ensure compliance. Identify irregular, fruitless and wasteful expenditure. Identifying risks and implementing of appropriate internal controls. Apply Finance and Supply Chain Management principles. Perform ad hoc investigations as required by management. Presentation of finding at various management meetings. Formal and informal training of staff at institutions. Identify cases of non-compliance with legislation and policies at institutions. Develop and implement processes of internal controls, capacity interventions and interventions with regard to performance management. Execute interventions at Health institutions to ensure credibility and correctness of AFS Disclosure Notes.

Inherent requirement of the job
Willingness to travel and spend long periods away from the office. Valid (Code B/EB) manual driver’s licence.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 376 596 - R 443 601 Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
