Administration Clerk: Supply Chain Management (Stores)

Experience:
Appropriate experience in handling stock in a Health-related environment. Appropriate experience in a Department of Health electronic procurement systems, such as LOGIS.
 
Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Completion and capturing of requisitions, receipt voucher and issue voucher on LOGIS. Receiving of goods and verifying items and quantities. Updating of stock control cards. Packing and removing of stock from storage areas and shelves. Delivery of stock to end user. Ensure accurate stock control i.e. maintain stock levels, timeous ordering of stock, applying FIFO principle, etc. Ensure compliance controls are maintained i.e. restriction of access to storage areas, Occupational Health and Safety protocols, regular cleaning and pest control servicing, etc. Regular reporting i.e. monthly Inventory reporting, stock takes, etc. Proper resolution of queries and providing assistance where required. Assist with supervision of Stores Assistant.
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Computer literacy in MS Word, MS Excel and Outlook. Good verbal and written communication skills in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape. Good organizational and time management skills. Knowledge of Dept of Health AOS, Finance Instructions, Provincial and Treasury regulations.

Inherent requirement of the job:
Perform overtime duties when required. Physically fit to lift and carry items of around 10kg.
 
Minimum educational qualification:
Senior Certificate or equivalent with Mathematics and/or Accounting as a passed subject and/or Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with experience/competencies that focuses on the Key Performance Areas (KPA’s) of the post.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 173 703 - R 204 612 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
