Professional Nurse: Grade 1 to 3 (General: School Health)

Requirement:
Basic R425 qualifications (i.e degree/diploma in nursing) or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse.
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Computer literacy (Word, Excel). Experience in working with learners or youth. Experience in Group facilitating. Ability to work independently, but also as part of a team.
 
Experience:
Grade 1: None after registration as a professional nurse with SANC in General Nursing. Grade 2: Minimum of 10 years appropriate/recognisable experience in Nursing after registration as Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing. Grade 3: Minimum of 20 years appropriate/recognisable experience in Nursing after registration as Professional nurse with the SANC in General Nursing.

Note:

Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Provide clinical school health services to learners in schools. Support the team within the school environment. Support the PHC facility in implementing quality youth friendly services. Plan and implement Health promotion and prevention activities during school Holidays. Monitoring and Evaluation of the Program. Managing of stock and Equipment.
 
Registration with a professional council:
Registration with the SANC as a Professional Nurse.
 
Inherent requirement of the job:
Willingness to work after hours and to travel as required. Valid (Code B/EB) drivers licence.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
Grade 1: R256 905 -R 297 825 per annum, Grade 2: R 315 963 - R 362 865 per annum, Grade 3: R 383 226 - R 485 475 per annum (Plus, a non-pensionable rural allowance of 8 % of basic annual salary) Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
