Operating Theatre Room Practitioner

Inherent requirement of the job:
Ability to function independently. Work shifts on both day and night duty, on weekends and public holidays. Willingness to rotate to other departments within the theatre complex.
 
Experience:
Appropriate experience (after obtaining the qualification of Operating Room Practice) in an Operating Theatre.
 
Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Assist with planning and organising of work activities. Accurate record keeping and statistics. Provide support to Professional nurses. Provide basic clinical care within a theatre setup. Maintain professional growth, ethical standards and self-development.
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Knowledge of sterilisation methods. Ability to assist surgeon and Professional nurse in the theatre to provide safe patient care during surgery . Ability to communicate in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.
 
Note:
Only officials within the Provincial Government: Western Cape will be considered for this post.
 
Requirements
Two Year Diploma in Operating Room Practice.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 257 508- R 303 339 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
