A minimum of 7 years appropriate/recognizable experience in nursing after registration as Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing. |

A valid (Code B/EB) driver’s license. Willingness to work shifts, weekends, overtime, Public Holidays and Night Duty. |

|
Basic R425 qualification (i.e. diploma/degree in nursing) or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse. |

Current registration with the SANC as a Professional Nurse. |
|
|
Good interpersonal,leadership, communication skills, strong sense of responsibility. Ability to effectively communicate in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape. The ability to function independently in a multidisciplinary team and the ability to direct the team to ensure good nursing care. Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of nursing and public service legislation and knowledge of Human Resource and financial policies. Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook). |

Provide leadership,management, governance and supervision of nursing services. Ensure the provision of optimal, holistic nursing care within the parameters of professional, legal and ethical practices. Effectively manage human and financial resources with emphasis on compliance of policies, practice and protocols. Ensure effective adherence to quality improvement strategies in the execution of quality nursing care and clinical governance. Provide effective management support to nursing services, hospital management including afterhours coverage and night duty. |

Remuneration:
|
R 444 276 (PN-A5)- R 500 031 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
