Administration Clerk: Admissions

Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Admit, register, assess patients, open folders and raise invoices. Ensure audit compliance, and accurate data recording within Admissions. Receive money, issue receipts, safe keeping of state money, and perform relief cashier duties. Safe custody of patient’s belongings. Prepare, scan, index and QA patient folders. Support to supervisor, colleagues and other departments.
 
Experience:
Appropriate experience in Patient administration on Clinicom/Delta9/ any other patient registration system. Appropriate cashier experience.
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Computer literacy. Good communication and writing skills in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape. Knowledge of Hospital Fees Memorandum 18.

Note:

Inherent requirement of the job:
Required to work shifts, weekends, public holidays and night shift. Required to work overtime on short notice. Must be willing to rotate and/or relief personnel.
 
Minimum educational qualification:
Senior Certificate (or equivalent).
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 173 703 - R 204 612 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
