ASSISTANT DIRECTOR: HUMAN RESOURCE ADMINISTRATION

Experience:
Appropriate experience of People Management Administration. Appropriate supervisory experience of People Management. Appropriate PERSAL experience.
 
Requirements
Appropriate three-year National Diploma or Degree .
 
Duties (key results areas/outputs):
Lead, manage, supervise and co-ordinate the work and responsibilities of People Management Administration (Personnel Administration) component. Provide Human Resource Administration service to all employees at the institution. Administer conditions of service, allowances and deductions (housing, medical aid, leave, pension, overtime, commuted overtime and acting). Coordinate and administer COIDA, PILIR and incapacity processes. Manage applications for RWOPS, including capturing and declarations on PERSAL. Monitor and manage commuted overtime contracts. Ensure implementation and compliance with HR policy and practices.

Competencies (knowledge/skills)
Proven knowledge of Public Service Regulations, Prescripts and Acts. Ability to communicate in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape. People Management skills.
 
Inherent requirement of the job
Valid (Code B/EB) driver’s license.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 356 289 - R 419 679 Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
