Personnel Officer (1 year contract)

Experience:
Appropriate experience in the field of Human Resource Management in the Public Service with the emphasis on all aspects of personnel and salary administration. Knowledge and experience of all functionality of the personnel and salary administration system (PERSAL).
 
Duties (key results areas/outputs):
Assist with the administration and management of PERSAL Access Security Control as well as the creation of system generated ID’s. Assist with the management and administration of System Change Control (SCC’s) requests. Provide effective and efficient typing support services on an Ad-hoc basis. Render an effective and efficient Personnel Administrative function for Head Office. Ensure effective and efficient Pay Sheet control at Head Office. Optimal support to supervisor. Maintain the system by means of creating, abolishing, regarding and amendments of posts. Analyse system to identify and correct inefficiencies. Develop and maintain organograms. Implementation of HF2’s.
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Knowledge and experience in personnel administration. Ability to function under pressure and independently and handle high work volume with strict deadlines. Good verbal and written communication skills to ensure effective presentation of policies as well as report writing. Practical computer skills in MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint and the PERSAL system. Sound knowledge of the Public Service Act, Public Service Regulations, and Collective Agreements regarding the above mentioned.

Remuneration:
163563-192666 Annual salary plus 37% in lieu of service benefits.
