Experience:
Appropriate experience in Revenue and Debtors management, Administration of Petty cash and Ledger account maintenance required.

Duties (key results areas/outputs):
Revenue management, including receipting, safe keeping and banking of monies and capturing on BAS. Clearing of Asset and Liabilities accounts, including interpreting reports, compiling FIN 448, compiling and processing journals. Administration of the debt accounts according to prescripts, including liaising with debtors and other relevant stakeholders. Administration of the Petty Cash function. Administration of the College Council Funds. Assist with Year-end and In-Year Monitoring (monthly) reporting and compliance controls.
 
Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with mathematics and/or accounting as past subject and/or Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with experience/competencies that focuses on the Key Performance Areas (KRA’s) of the post.

Competencies (knowledge/skills)
Working knowledge of and the ability to interpret and apply the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), Treasury Regulations and Instructions, and Departmental Financial and Revenue related prescripts. Working knowledge of computerised Financial systems (BAS/LOGIS) related to Assets and Liabilities accounts, debts, revenue and payments and SCOA (Standard Chart of Accounts). Computer literate in MS Office, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Analytical thinking, good planning and organisational skills, an aptitude for accurate mathematical calculations and to compile reports and submissions.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
163563-192666 Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
