Social Worker Manager, Grade 1

Experience:
A minimum of 10 years appropriate experience in Social Work after registration as a Social Worker with the SACSSP.
 
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Social Work.
 
Registration with a professional council:
Current registration with the South African Council for Social Work Professions (SACSSP) as a Social Worker.
 
Duties (key results areas/outputs):
Ensure effective and efficient overall social work service delivery at Stikland Hospital as part of Metro Health Services. Manage, monitor and implement social work services, welfare and hospital policies and programmes. Effective and efficient Financial and Human Resource Management with focus on development and sustainability of the Social Work Department. Outreach and support to Metro Health Social Work services and Stikland Hospital Management.

Competencies (knowledge/skills)
Proficiency in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape. Computer Literacy. Proof of continuous professional development. Experience as a Social Work Supervisor/ Supervising Social Workers.

Remuneration:
Grade 1: R755 598-R850 443 A portion of the package can be structured according to the individual's personal needs.
