Administration Clerk: Wards (Nursing)

Experience:
Appropriate Administrative experience in a healthcare environment. Appropriate Clinicom experience in a healthcare environment.
 
Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Contribute to effective patient administration system by performing Clinicom, bed management and booking of patient transport functions. Effective and efficient utilisation of all resources, including ordering stock for the department. Optimally and effectively organise nursing administration, keep staff databases up to date, file documents and keeping leave records up to date. Provide administrative support to nursing department. General administration duties, typing of quarterly reports, complete monthly and quarterly statistics.
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape. Basic computer literacy (Ms Word and Excel).

Requirements
Senior Certificate (or equivalent).
 
Inherent requirement of the job:
Willingness to work shifts, public holidays, after-hours and weekends. Work night-duty according to the operational requirements of the hospital. Relief of other clerks as required.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 173 703- R 204 612 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
