| Clinical service provision. Participate in the Teaching program. Research and Professional Development (incl. completion of MMED). Effective Clinical Administration in patient records and patient reports. Support leadership and quality improvement initiatives within healthcare services. |

| Computer literacy (i.e., MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and internet research). Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and time-management skills. Good interpersonal and time-management skills. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Previous experience in South African Health Services. |

| Consideration will be given to existing employees who are already on higher salary packages to retain their existing salary position, as personal, as such they are entitled to receive pay progression. Appointment as Registrar will be for a maximum contract period of 4 years. Each registrar will be appointed in a specific training complex and will be expected to rotate through the various institutions in the complex. Employees in service who opt to continue with their pension benefits as Registrar, will be required to resign after completion of their registrarship, should they not be successful for an advertised Specialist position. Should registration with the HEI as a student be discontinued for any reason the appointment of Registrar also discontinues. Applicants must indicate whether they have bursary obligations. Specific Registrar posts within the Department will be identified as part of the Affirmative Action programme to create a representative Specialist cadre in line with applicable procedures. *Preference will be given to SA citizens/permanent residents with a valid identity document*. Remuneration:

R 949 146 per annum - R 1 006 809 per annum (It will be expected of the successful candidate to participate in a system of remunerated commuted overtime). A portion of the package can be structured according to the individual's personal needs.
