Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Ability to adhere to safety and hygienic standards. Knowledge of infection control. Ability to operate machinery and equipment.
 
Experience:
Appropriate experience in a hospital environment.
 
Minimum educational qualification:
Basic literacy and numeracy.

Note:
No payment of any kind is required when applying for this post. Shortlisted candidates will be subjected to a written/practical and oral assessment. The pool of applicants will be considered for similar vacant posts within the Chief Director: Metro Health Services, for a period of 3 months from date of advert.
 
Duties (Key result areas/outputs):
Render an effective, efficient and safe hygiene and domestic service within the institution. Render support services to the Household Supervisor. Contribute to the effective utilization and functioning of apparatus and equipment. Contribute to the effective management of domestic responsibilities. Adhere to loyal service ethics.
 
Inherent requirements of the job:
Willing to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays and to rotate in different departments according to operational needs and requirements. Ability to lift/move heavy equipment and supplies.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 131 265-R 154 626 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
