Senior Administrative Officer: Finance, Revenue and Supply Chain Management

Minimum educational qualification:
An appropriate 3-year National Degree/Diploma in Public Management, Finance or Supply Chain Management.
 
Experience:
Appropriate experience in Finance. Appropriate experience in Revenue Management. Appropriate experience in Supply Chain Management. Appropriate experience of BAS and Logis systems. Appropriate supervisory experience.
 
Duties (Key result areas/outputs):
Effective and efficient budget management. Allocation of budgets. Budget expenditure control. Clearance of accounts Effective and efficient procurement of goods and services and system management. Effective warehouse management. Assist in the submission of the institution’s financial statements and audit compliance matters. Ensuring correctness of payment batches for DICU visits. Effective and efficient management of staff in the Finance, Revenue and Supply Chain Management components.

Note:
No payment of any kind is required when applying for this post. Short listed candidates will be subjected to a written/practical and oral assessment. The pool of applicants will be considered for other similar posts within the Chief Directorate: Metro Health Services, for a period of 3 months from date of advert.
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Rigorous expenditure analysis and reporting. Ability to assimilate and interpret detailed information. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Good organizational skills. Computer literacy (Word, Excel and Powerpoint). Excellent written and verbal communication. Knowledge of the PFMA, National Treasury regulations. Preferential procurement regulations.
 
Inherent requirements of the job:
Valid (Code B/EB) driver’s licence.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 376 413 - R443 403 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
