Food Service Aid

Experience:
Appropriate experience in a large food service unit.
 
Duties (Key result areas/outputs):
Assist in receipt, store of all provisions and stock in the food service unit. Prepare; produce all normal and therapeutic diets. Weigh, dish and distribute foods to the wards. Clean all areas, utensils and equipment in the Food Service Department. Adhere to Health and Safety prescripts, elementary control measures and standard operating procedures.
 
Minimum educational qualification:
Basic numeracy and literacy.
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Knowledge of hygiene, Occupational Health, HACCP and safety principals. Ability to communicate (verbal & written).

Inherent requirements of the job:
Willingness to work shifts, overtime, weekends and public holidays. Physically fit to lift heavy objects and be on their feet the entire day.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 131 265-R 154 626 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
