Communication skills (written and verbal). Must be physically able to lift heavy objects and stay for long hours on your feet. Must be able to do laundry duties, i.e. stocktaking, delivering linen, and assisting audits in wards (hospital), clinics, and ambulance stations. Knowledge of stock and infection control. |

|
Ensure that wards and institutions are provided with clean linen timeously. Assist with loading of linen in/out of laundry vehicles. Assist with delivering of linen to different departments or wards. Collection of soiled linen from the departments. Counting of linen daily and doing stocktaking monthly. Support supervisor and relieve in other departments. Maintain a high standard of neatness and hygiene in the facility. |

Appropriate experience in laundry and cleaning in a health environment will be an advantage |
|

General Education and Training Certificate (GETC)/ grade 9 (Std 7). |

Shortlisted candidates will be subjected to a practical/written and oral assessment. No payment of any kind is required when applying for this post. The pool of applicants will be considered for similar posts within the Chief Directorate: Metro Health Services for a period of 3 months from date of advert. |

Remuneration:
|
R 131 265-R 154 626 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
