Artisan Production Grade A to C (Carpentry)

Inherent requirement of the job:
A valid driver’s licence (Code B/EB) and willing to travel throughout the Western Cape.
 
Minimum educational qualification:
Appropriate Trade Test Certificate.
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Be conversant with the requirements of the Machinery and Occupational Health and Safety Act.
 
Experience:
Grade A: No experience required. Grade B: At least 18 years appropriate/recognisable experience in the area after obtaining the relevant Trade Test Certificate. Grade C: At least 34 years appropriate/recognisable experience in the area after obtaining the relevant Trade Test Certificate.

Duties (Key result areas/outputs):
Perform standby duties. Perform necessary administrative functions. Control over tools and materials. Train and supervision of subordinates. Assist with the execution of building projects/repairs at hospitals and health institutions. Maintain and repairs of buildings and equipment at health institutions within the Western Cape Province Assist Artisan Foremen/Chief Artisan with their duties.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
Grade A: R 230 898 - R 256 263 per annum, Grade B: R 270 915 - R 300 675 per annum, Grade C: R 314 751 - R 386 775 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
