Appropriate experience in a communication, public relations or media environment, which include building and managing client and stakeholder relationships; developing visual communication products; media, reputation and response management; internal communication and brand management; and developing and executing communication campaigns. | | |
Appropriate three-year National Diploma/Degree in Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, or Marketing. | | |
Communication management, including developing and executing an annual communication plan, managing the hospital’s brand, photography, and proactive storytelling to manage the hospital’s image and reputation. Stakeholder management, including working with the Groote Schuur Hospital Board and Trust, and the hospital management team to support the annual operational plan. Reputation management and media liaison, including handling media queries, writing media releases, media monitoring, risk management, and event management. Develop and test communication and promotional material, including reports, newsflashes, newsletters, position statements, and social media posts. People, event, and project management. | | |

Remuneration:

R 376 413 per annum - R 443 403 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
