Communication Officer

Experience:
Appropriate experience in a communication, public relations or media environment, which include building and managing client and stakeholder relationships; developing visual communication products; media, reputation and response management; internal communication and brand management, and developing and executing communication campaigns. Appropriate experience in the public service, NGO or NPO environment. Appropriate experience in Adobe InDesign and photography.
 
Minimum educational qualifications:
Appropriate three-year National Diploma/Degree in Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, or Marketing.
 
Duties (Key result areas/outputs):
Conceptualisation and implementation of communication plans and campaigns. Reputation management. Internal communication and brand management. Project and event management. Stakeholder engagement support. Monitoring and evaluation of communication campaigns, risks, and sentiment.
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Media liaison. Reputation management. Written and visual content development. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills.

Inherent Requirements of the Job:
Valid Code (B/EB) driver’s licence. Willing to occasionally work outside regular office hours and to travel for work.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 376 413 per annum - R 443 403 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
