Development Youth (Patient Care Assistant) (18 month contract) (5 posts)

Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Assist patients with activities of daily living (physical care). Develop and implementation of basic patient care plans. To provide elementary support to the health Team Effective utilization of resources. Maintain professional growth/ethical standards and self-development. Participate in infection prevention and control.
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Good communication skills (both written and verbal) Self- discipline and motivation.

Note:

Minimum educational qualifications:
NQF Level 2 or equivalent to a SETA Qualification that allows registration with the Department of Social Services.
 
Experience:
Previous Experience as a Home Based Carer will be an advantage.
 
Inherent requirements of the job:
Willing to work shifts. Ability to function in a team. Effective communication skills. Rendering care of an acceptable and safe standard. Must be prepared to relieve in other sections across the hospitals, exchange shifts and do night duty as required.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
Stipend: R 54 303 per annum
