Linen Supervisor

Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Ability to work under pressure and perform physically demanding tasks. Ability to achieve and maintaining good interpersonal relations with staff and the service provider. Good numerical skills. Knowledge of and the ability to interpret the Western Cape Linen Management Policy.
 
Experience:
Appropriate experience in a Hospital Linen Bank
 
Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Ensure effective and efficient processing of linen within the Hospital. Effective quality control of the outsourced laundering and supervision of the internal linen services. Effective and efficient management of all linen records, data, and information and ensure communication regarding operational aspects. Perform pre-condemning of linen and report irregularities to the principal supervisor. To provide and effective support to the Principal Linen Supervisor wrt HR related function, assist with general administrations tasks and perform relief duties within the hospital linen management setup.
 
Minimum educational qualification:
General Education and Training Certificate (GETC)/ grade 9 (Std 7)

Inherent requirements of the job:

Remuneration:
R 183 279- R 215 892 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
