Sterilization Operator Production (CSSD)

Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Ability to work in a co-operative way within a team context and willingness to be rotated within the CSSD. department. Good interpersonal relations skills. Willingness to assist with Theatre packs and Ward Instruments.
 
Experience:
Appropriate experience.
 
Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Effectively decontaminate pack and sterilise instrument and linen packs and handle soiled equipment and contribute to cleaning of CSSD unit. Effectively operate instrument washing machines autoclaves and other equipment clean check and test them and do biological and chemical testing. Support supervisor and colleagues, be loyal and ethical in conduct. Support to Linen Supervisor regarding linen.
 
Minimum educational qualification:
General Education and Training Cerificate (GETC)/ Grade 9 (Std 7).

Inherent requirements of the job:
Willingness to work shifts including weekends and public holidays in the CSSD. Basic understanding of disinfection, decontamination and sterilization. Ability to lift heavy objects.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 155 148 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
