Artisan Production Grade A to C (Painter)

Inherent requirement of the job:
A valid vehicle driver’s license.
 
Minimum educational qualification:
Appropriate Trade Test Certificate.
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Conversant with the requirement of the Machinery and Occupational Health and Safety Act. Ability to plan-ahead (pro-active). Must comply with in-house systems and procedures.
 
Experience:
Grade A: No experience required. Grade B: At least 18 years appropriate/recognizable experience in the area after obtaining the relevant Trade Test Certificate. Grade C: At least 34 years appropriate/recognizable experience in the area after obtaining the relevant Trade Test Certificate.

Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Responsible for the preservation of exterior and interior painting works of the building and premises. Responsible for the control over equipment, stock and other tools used within the workshop. Render assistance to Artisan Foreman with regard to all functions (including admin work) of the division. Give feedback to supervisor on technical and painting maintenance issues. Assist in supervising, training and development of staff. Perform standby duties when necessary.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
Grade A: R 230 898 - R 256 263 per annum, Grade B: R 270 915 - R 300 675 per annum, Grade C: R 314 751 - R 386 775 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
