Senior Administrative Officer: Finance

Experience:
Appropriate experience in Financial Management that focuses on the Key Performance Areas (KPA’s) of the posts. Appropriate experience in BAS and PERSAL Appropriate experience of transfer payments to Local Authority and NPO’s.
 
Minimum educational qualification:
Appropriate three-year National Diploma or Degree.
 
Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Ensure effective and efficient expenditure control within MHS. Management of the MHS Asset and liability accounts. Ensure timeous and accurate information with regards to information pertaining to Annual Financial Statements. Ensure financial compliance within Finance Ensure effective and efficient Sundry – and Transfer payment function within MHS. Supervise, train and administer subordinates.
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), National and Provincial Treasury Regulations. The ability to interpret and apply financial policies, procedures and prescripts. Extensive knowledge of financial management in the Public Service, including the legislative framework. Computer literate in Microsoft package, BAS & PERSAL.

Note:
No payment of any kind is required when applying for this post. The pool of applicants will be considered for similar vacant posts within the Chief Directorate: Metro Health Services, for a period of 3 months from date of advert. Shortlisted candidates will be subject to a practical/written and oral assessment.
 
Inherent requirement of the job:
Valid Code B/EB driver’s license. Willingness to travel within the Metropole. Willingness to work overtime when required.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 376 413 per annum - R 443 403 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
