Sterilization Operator Production

Experience:
Appropriate experience.
 
Duties (key result areas/outputs)
Effective application of sterilisation processes and techniques and promote/ adhere to infection control as well as health and safety regulations. Decontamination, packing and sterilization of instruments linen and supplies. Assist with cleaning and testing of sterilisation equipment, washing machine and autoclaves. Maintain equipment in an optimum working condition and utilisation of resources. Use autoclaves, washing machines & equipment/consumables in a cost-effective manner. Monitor, control and maintain adequate stock levels. Report and assist with investigation of lost instruments/equipment.
 
Minimum educational qualification:
General Education and Training Certificate (GETC)/ grade 9 (Std 7).
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Good interpersonal relations skills. Ability to work in a co-operative way within a team context.

Inherent Requirements of the Job:
Willingness to work shifts including weekend, public holidays and night duty.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 155 148 per annum - R 182 757 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
