Nursing Assistant Grade 1 to 3

Duties (key results areas/outputs):
Assist patients with activities of daily living (physical care). Provide elementary clinical nursing care. Maintain professional growth/ethical standards and self-development. Record keeping.
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Basic computer skills in MS Word, Excel, Outlook. Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies of the Department of Health Western Cape.
 
Experience:
Grade 1: None. Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration with the SANC as a Nursing Assistant. Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration with the SANC as a Nursing Assistant.

Minimum Educational Qualifications:
Qualification that allows registration with SANC as a Nursing Assistant.
 
Inherent Requirements of the Job:
Willingness to work shifts, public holidays, after-hours, night duty and weekend cover for nursing.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
Grade 1: R 165 177 - R 188 865 per annum, Grade 2: R 192 675 - R 218 667 per annum, Gade 3: R 227 070 - R 283 347 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
