Basic Computer literacy (MS Office). Ability to function independantly , as well as in a multi-disciplinary team to ensure good patient care. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (both written and verbal).
 
Minimum educational requirement:
Basic R425 qualification (i.e. diploma/degree in nursing) or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse and Midwife.
 
Experience: A minimum of 9 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration a
Grade 1: None after registration as Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing. Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration as Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing. Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration as Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing.

Implement standards, practices, criteria, and indicators for quality nursing (quality of practice) Practice nursing and health care in accordance with the laws and regulations relevant to nursing and health care. Maintain constructive working relationship with nursing and other stakeholders. Utilize human, material, and physical resources efficiently and effectively. Participate in training, development and research within the nursing department. Provision of support to nursing services.
 
Registration with the Health Professions Council:
Registration with the SANC as a Professional Nurse and Midwife.
 
Inherent requirements of the job:
Willingness to work shifts, night duty, overtime, public holidays and weekends.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
Grade 1: R 307 473-R 362 187 per annum, Grade 2: R 375 480-R 442 296 per annum, Grade 3: R 451 533-R 578,826 per annum (Plus, non-pensionable rural allowance of 12% of your annual basic salary) Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
