Messenger

Experience:
Appropriate messenger and registry experience.
 
Minimum educational qualification:
Basic Numeracy and Literacy.
 
Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Collecting, delivery and distribution of all files, post and correspondence to and from various departments, wards and post office. Assist with banking of state monies. Assist registry personnel, Medical Records and all other officials within the hospital. Circulate all documents, notices/memos, circulars and change list of nursing. Assist with late birth registrations and handle confidential documentation.

Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Must be a dedicated team player, innovative, self-motivated and have good memory skills. Good verbal and written communication skills. Planning, organising and client orientation skills.
 
Inherent requirements of the job:
Must have the ability to pick up heavy bags, filled with post and goods. Perform relieve registry clerk duties, on request from Supervisor. A valid (Code (B/EB) driver’s License.
 
Note:
No payment of any kind is required when applying for this post. Shortlisted candidates will be subjected to practical / written and oral assessment. The pool of applicants will be considered for similar vacant posts within the Chief Directorate: Metro Health Services for a period of 3 months from date of advert.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 131 265- R 154 626 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
