Graduate Internship (Emergency Care Assistant) (14 posts) (2 Year contract)

Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Deliver effective pre-hospital emergency care under supervision. Maintenance of emergency vehicles and equipment. Effectively maintain administration functions. Attend all development initiatives in line with the scope of practice.
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Good communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to work 12-hour shifts and overtime when needed.
 
Minimum Requirements:
Grade 12 / Senior certificate. Registration certificate with the HPCSA as an Emergency Care Assistant (ECA). Valid annual registration with the HPCSA as an Emergency Care Assistant (ECA).

Inherent requirements of the job:
Physically fit to do manual labour. Must be between the ages of 18 – 35 years old.
 
Note:
Shortlisted candidates will be expected to undergo a practical assessment. Bursary holders of the Western Cape Government Health and Wellness Department receives preference. Successful applicants will be required to obtain a Code 10 Driver’s license, at own cost, within 6 months after assumption of duty. Oral interview and/or practical clinical skills assessment. Completion of a DOTS360 form, to verify the documents that are submitted with the application.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 89 409 per annum Annual .
