A minimum of 9 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration as a Professional Nurse. At least 5 years of the above-mentioned must be appropriate and recognizable experience after the obtaining the 1-year post-basic qualification as mentioned above. |

Basic R425 qualification (i.e. diploma/degree in nursing) or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as Professional Nurse and Midwife. A post-basic nursing/advanced qualification with a duration of at least 1 year accredited with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) in Medical and Surgical Nursing Science: Operating Theatre Nursing. |

Co-ordinator and render holistic comprehensive specialised nursing care provided within a professional / legal framework. Manage and monitor the effective utilization of human, financial and physical resources as per departmental policies. Provide effective support, development, education and research activities. Provide effective support service to the Nursing Division. Effectively maintained professional growth and ethical standards in the Theatre department. |

Knowledge of legal framework and regulations regarding nursing practice. Good leadership and people management skills maintain constructive relationships with members of the multi-disciplinary team. Computer literacy. Basic financial management skills. Good verbal and written communication skills |

Proof of annual licence to practice for 2024/2025. The ability to work under pressure, be self-motivated, possess excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work as part of a team and independently. Work night duty on a planned schedule to relief the night manager. Willingness to work shifts, overtime, after hours hospital cover, weekends and Public Holidays as required. |

Remuneration:

R 656 964-R 748 683 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
