Assistant Director: Labour Relations (People Development)

Minimum educational qualification:
Appropriate 3-year National Diploma or Degree (or equivalent).
 
Experience:
Appropriate experience in Labour Relations in the Public Sector. Appropriate experience of People Development. Appropriate supervisory experience.
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Computer Literacy (MS Office, Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook). Strong interpersonal, planning, conflict handling and organizing skills. Ability to think analytically and the ability to resolve problems. Knowledge of statistics and the interpretation and presentation thereof.
 
Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Management of the Labour Relations component and function (grievances, disciplinary matters, disputes, collective bargaining, strike and unrest management and other labour matters). Management of the People Development component and function (workplace skills plan, facilitation of training, bursaries, internships, learnerships, leadership development and other People Development matters. Give advice and support regarding Labour Relations. Give advice and support regarding People Development. Compiling and conduct training and development interventions.

Note:
No payment of any kind is required when applying for this post. The pool of applicants will be considered for similar vacant posts within the Chief Directorate: Metro Health Services, for a period of 3 months from date of advert. Candidates will be subjected to a practical/written and oral assessment.
 
Inherent requirements of the job:
Valid (Code B/EB) driver’s license. Willingness to travel.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 444 036 per annum - R 532 602 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
