|
A minimum of 8 years appropriate/recognizable nursing experience after Registration as Professional with the SANC in General Nursing. At least 3 years of the period referred to above must be appropriate/recognizable experience at management level. |

|
Ability to work shifts, including weekends, Public holidays when required. Valid (Code B/EB) driver’s license. |
|
|
Basic R425 qualification (i.e. Diploma/Degree in Nursing) or Equivalent qualification that allows for registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as Professional Nurse. |
|
|
Computer literacy (MS Word and Excel) and report writing skills. Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of nursing, public service legislation, human resources and financial management. Good interpersonal, leadership, communication skills and a strong sense of responsibility. |
|
|
Effective adherence to quality improvement strategies in the execution of quality nursing care and clinical governance. Effective management of human and financial resources and compliance to policies, protocols and practices. Manage and ensure the provision of leadership, management governance and the supervision of nursing services. Provision of holistic and quality nursing care within the parameters of professional, legal and ethical practices. |

No payment of any kind is required when applying for this post. The pool of applicants will be considered for other similar vacant posts within the Chief Directorate: Metro Health Services, for a period of 3 months from date of advert. Candidates will be subjected to a written/practical; oral assessment and competency assessment. |
