Appropriate experience in laundry services in a hospital/health environment. |
|
|
Basic literacy and numeracy skills. |
|
|
Collecting, Sorting and Weighing of dirty, soiled linen. Machine & Equipment operation, sluicing of linen. Linen Stock Control and Management of Linen Room. Execution of Occupational Health and Safety prescripts and general environmental safety and hygiene. Support to supervisor and willingness to rotate in other departments. |
|
|
Good communication skills. Ability to accept accountability and responsibility and to work independently and unsupervised. Knowledge of Laundry Services. |

No payment of any kind is required when applying for this post. The pool of applicants will be considered for other similar vacant posts within the CD: MHS, for a period of 3 months from date of advert. Candidates will be subjected to a written/practical and oral assessment. |

|
Willingness to do manual labour (heavy linen bags) and assist in other departments when required. Able to handle heavily soiled linen containing human excretions and blood. |

Remuneration:
|
R 131 265- R 154 626 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
