A minimum of 3 years appropriate experience as Medical Specialist after registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Specialist in Nephrology (Adult). |

An appropriate qualification that allows registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa as a Medical Specialist in Nephrology (Adult). |

|
Experience as a Nephrology sub-specialist in an academic environment. Superior clinical and communication skills, and the ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams in delivering clinical nephrology services. Strong research skills with a record of independent research as evidenced by first/last-author publications. A PhD is a recommendation. Successful mentoring and postgraduate research supervision. Experience in undergraduate, postgraduate and sub-specialist Nephrology teaching and clinical training. National/international reputation as a leader in the field of Nephrology. |

Lead and manage the Division of Nephrology, including the clinical nephrology services of Tygerberg Hospital and its satellite dialysis units. Lead the teaching and training of undergraduate and postgraduate students in Nephrology. Lead a Nephrology research programme. |

Remuneration:

Grade 1: R 1 976 070 - R 2 097 327 per annum A portion of the package can be structured according to the individual's personal needs.
