Professional Nurse Grade 1 to 3 (General Nursing)

Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Basic Computer literacy (MS Office). Ability to function independantly , as well as in a multi-disciplinary team to ensure good patient care Ability to communicate effectively verbally and written.
 
Minimum educational qualification:
Basic R425 qualification (i.e. diploma/degree in nursing) or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse.
 
Experience:
Grade 1: None after registration as Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing. Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years appropriate/recognizable experience in nursing after registration as Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing. Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years appropriate/recognizable experience in nursing after registration as Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing
 
Duties:
Provide direction and supervision for the implementation of the nursing plan (clinical practice or patient care). Implement standards, practices, criteria, and indicators for quality nursing (quality of practice) Practice nursing and health care in accordance with the laws and regulations relevant to nursing and health care. Maintain constructive working relationship with nursing and other stakeholders. Utilize human, material, and physical resources efficiently and effectively.
 
Inherent requirements of the job:
Willingness to work shifts, night duty, overtime, public holidays and weekends.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
Grade 1: R 307 473 - R 362 187 (PNA2) per annum, Grade 2: R 375 480 - R 442 296 (PNA3) per annum, Grade 3: R 451 533 - R 578 826 (PNA4) per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
