Appropriate experience in the Mental health field. Good communication, advocacy and interpersonal skills. Good liaison, facilitation, training and presentation skills. The ability to work with different computer software programmes: MS windows suite (MS word, MS excel, MS Power Point). The ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team. Good administrative and report writing skills. Knowledge of FA21, Ideal Clinic, and other relevant policies, protocols, and guidelines. Analytic thinking, independent decision making and problem-solving skills. |

Grade 1: None after registration with HPCSA as an Occupational Therapist. Minimum of 1-year relevant experience after registration with the Health Professional Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as an Occupational Therapist in respect of foreign qualified employees, of whom it is not required to perform Community Service as required in South Africa. Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience after registration with HPCSA as an Occupational Therapist. Minimum of 11 years relevant experience after registration with the Health Professional Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as an Occupational Therapist in respect of foreign qualified employees, of whom it is not required to perform Community Service as required in South Africa Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years’ relevant experience after registration with HPCSA as an Occupational Therapist. Minimum of 21 years relevant experience after registration with the Health Professional Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as an Occupational Therapist in respect of foreign qualified employees, of whom it is not required to perform Community Service as required in South Africa. |

No payment of any kind is required when applying for this post. Candidates who are not in possession of the stipulated registration requirements may also apply. Plan, manage and develop systems specifically related to risk management in community mental health facilities. Support the management of the Community Mental Health Facility project to promote optimal support for users in residential care mental health care facilities. Assessment of MH/ID clients residing at Alexandra and community Mental Health care settings. Determine appropriate treatment of community mental health patients in Community Mental Health Facilities. Contribute to the development and implementation of Occupational Therapy programs in the community, including PSR. Follow the relevant policies and SOPs within the Occupational Therapy field. Administrative duties including report writing, attending meetings Develop objectives and action plans for the management of CMHF according to MH Regulations. Assisting in the Co-ordination of community mental health facilities services in the district. Contribution to the training & mentoring to improve the care for the mental health community facilities and CBS teams. |

Valid (Code B/EB) driver’s license Willingness to travel and to perform overtime when required. |

Remuneration:
|
Grade 1: R 376 524 - R 430 512 per annum, Grade 2: R 439 755 - R 501 630 per annum, Grade 3: R 514 785 - R 623 229 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
