Excellent (written and verbal) communication skills. Computer literacy (MS Word and Excel). Conversant with the requirements of the Machinery and Occupational and Safety Act. Mechanical, electrical, plumbing skills and experience. |

Grade A: No experience required. Grade B: At least 18 years appropriate/recognisable experience in the area after obtaining the relevant Trade Test Certificate. Grade C: At least 34 years appropriate/recognisable experience in the area after obtaining the relevant Trade Test Certificate. |

Repairs and maintenance on all four (4) Campus grounds Stikland, Athlone, Worcester and George. Control and supervision of workshop staff. Compile specifications and assist in managing projects. Assist with the procurement of spares and control over tools and material. Personnel evaluation and training of subordinates. Liaison with engineering management and private sector to co-ordinate and facilitate completion of ad-hoc projects. |

Valid driver’s license (Code B/EB). Willingness to work irregular hours (e.g. overtime, after hours, standby duties and weekends) and attend to emergencies when required. |

Remuneration:
|
Grade A: R 230 898 - R 256 263 per annum, Grade B: R 270 915 - R 300 675 per annum, Grade C: R 314 751 - R 386 775 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
