Staff Nurse: Grade 1 to 3

  Dysselsdorp Clinic, Oudtshoorn Sub District, Garden Route District
 
Duties (key result areas/ outputs):
Development and implementation of basic patient care plans. Provide basic clinical nursing care. Effective utilization of resources. Maintain professional growth/ethical standards and self-development. Participate in infection prevention and control. Support the Operational Managers to obtain and maintain Ideal Clinic status.
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Good communication skills. Self- discipline and motivation. Relevant knowledge, skills, ability to give basic training and health talks.
 
Experience:
Grade 1: None. Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration as Staff Nurse with the SANC. Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration as Staff Nurse with the SANC.

Note:
No payment of any kind is required when applying for this post. The pool of applicants will be considered for other Staff Nurse posts within the Oudtshoorn Sub District, for a period of 3 months from date of advert. Candidates will be subjected to a practical/written assessment.
 
Minimum educational qualification:
Qualification that allows registration with the SANC as a Staff Nurse.
 
Registration with the Health Professions Council:
Registration with the SANC as a Staff Nurse.
 
Inherent requirement of the job:
Willingness to work overtime when necessary and to work at other clinics in the Sub-district. A valid (Code B/EB) driver’s licence and willingness to travel.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
Grade 1: R 209 112 per annum, Grade 2: 248 613 per annum, Grade 3: R 290 805 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
