Principles of Management: Supervisory, leadership, problem solving decision making, public speaking, conflict resolution and interpersonal/communication skills, the ability to function independently as well as part of the multi-disciplinary team and have Good organisational skills and the ability to function under pressure. Knowledge of Nursing legislation related legal and ethical nursing practices and framework. Human Resources, Labour relations legislation and Financial Management, including computer literacy (i.e. Ms Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook). |

Responsible for the co-ordination and delivery of within the relevant departments, participation and implementation of audits and planned improvement initiatives. Participate in formulation, monitoring and implementation of policies, guidelines, standards, procedures and regulations pertaining to nursing care within the relevant Department. Provide effective support and management of human, material and financial resources, as well as the Functional Business FBU management principles. Manage staff performance, training and personal development of self and subordinates including management of underperformance and grievances. Collect, provide and use relevant information for the enhancement of service delivery, including participation in and encouragement of nursing research. Maintain ethical standards and promote professional development. |

Remuneration:
|
Grade 1: R 520 560-R 596 322 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
