Deputy Director: Professional Support Services

Experience:
Appropriate experience in data processing, data quality checking and data analysis. Appropriate experience in report writing and compiling data in different formats. Appropriate experience in strategy and planning of Health Services Appropriate experience in management of Quality Improvement and Health Information Programs. Appropriate experience in managing a diverse cross-functional team.
 
Minimum educational qualification:
Appropriate four-year health related Diploma/Degree registrable with a South African Statutory Health Professions Council or South African Nursing Council.
 
Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Co-ordination and support of the strategic service planning for the district. Strategically coordinate the quality assurance, including quality assurance initiatives within the District. Provide policy direction and implementation technical support w r t Occupational Health and Safety. Overseeing the health information program, managing information technology and records management functions, and providing support for select health programs and research within the KESS framework.
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
High level of competency in all Microsoft office applications. Advance managerial skills. Ability to analyze and interpret Health System Information and compile and present district plans and reports. Good leadership and project management skills.

Note:
No payment of any kind is required when applying for this post. Shortlisted candidates will be subjected to practical/written and oral assessment, which may include a competency assessment. The pool of candidates may be utilized for other Deputy Director: Professional Support within the Chief Directorate Metro Health Services for a period of 3 months.
 
Inherent requirements of the job:
Valid (Code B/EB) driver’s license. Willingness to travel within the metro and province. Willingness to perform overtime when required.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 1 003 890- R 1 182 534 per annum A portion of the package can be structured according to the individual's personal needs.
