Note
: No payment of any kind is required when applying for this post. The pool of applicants will be considered for other Porter posts within the Mossel Bay Sub District, for a period of 3 months from date of advert. Candidates will be subjected to a practical/written assessment.
 
Experience:
Appropriate experience in a health sector porter service
 
Requirements Minimum educational qualification:
Basic numeracy and literacy
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Good communication skills .

Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Transport of patients. Assist with loading of patients in/out of ambulances/vehicles, to and from, beds, trolleys or wheelchairs and vice versa. Responsible for cleaning of wheelchairs and trolleys. Assist with the transportation of corpses from wards to the mortuary and entering details in the mortuary register. Carry medical and other documentation (patient files, reports, etc) to wards/treatment and other admin areas.
 
Inherent requirement of the job:
Willingness to work shifts, overtime and ability to report for duty at 6:45 (weekends included). Willingness to handle bodies (corpses). Ability to handle heavy objects.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 131 265- R 154 626 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
