Capability to do strenuous physical labour. Valid (Code B) driver’s licence. |

Elementary maintenance, installation and repair works on Dental equipment. Effective support to Supervisor. Elementary maintenance, installations, repair modify and manufacture items, equipment and machines under the supervision of the Supervisor. Manage the use of stock, materials and equipment. Inform on serviceable and/or unserviceable equipment. Responsible for basic administration work as well as completing job cards. |

Grade 10/Std 8 or equivalent qualification. |
|
|
Knowledge of Dental equipment and ability to carry out repairs on various Dental equipment and Dental Laboratory equipment. Basic knowledge of electrical (light and heavy current), mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, painting and other basic functions of an Artisan Assistant. Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act. |

No payment of any kind is required when applying for this post. The pool of applicants will be considered for other vacant Artisan Assistant posts within the Chief Directorate: Metro Health Services, for a period of 3 months from date of advert. Candidates will be subjected to a written/practical and oral assessment. |

Remuneration:
|
R 183 279-R 215,892 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
