The WCG: Health is commencing with an internship programme in Clinical engineering for engineering undergraduates meeting the below-mentioned criteria, residing in the Western Cape and holding RSA citizenship. The WCG: Health Clinical Engineering Internship Programme is a youth programme (ages 20 to 35) providing a unique opportunity to gain practical work experience in medical equipment maintenance for a maximum period of twelve (12) months at various clinical engineering facilities within the Cape Town metropole. Transport will not be provided and will be for the account of the successful candidate. They will spend approximately 3 months at each of these units. They will be provided with a module with specific aspects covering one month in each of the speciality units within clinical engineering - diagnostics, imaging, life support, optics. Each module will be concluded with a competency questionnaire • WCG: Health will not be held responsible for any costs relating to relocation, subsistence and travelling. Correspondence will be limited to shortlisted candidates only, who will be informed within three months after the closing date. |
