ARTISAN ASSISTANT

Experience:
Appropriate experience.
 
Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Assist the senior radio technician with equipment installation in vehicles. Travel between EMS, health care and repeater facilities to inspect requests and assist with installations of radio equipment. Assist the manager with minor building repairs, carpentry projects, installations, furniture repairs and technical work. Make all tools and material available before commencing a job. Clean areas on completion of work. Attend compulsory training.
 
Minimum Requirements:
Grade 10 (or equivalent).
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act,1993. Must be able to work with your hands and safely operate electrical power tools. Must be interested in electrical and radio frequency fields. Knowledge in the electrical field. Previous exposure to the EMS and health facilities environment.

Inherent requirement of the job:
Physically fit to do manual labour. Valid Code 8 driver’s licence. Must be strong and be able to carry batteries and inverters of up to 60kg.
 
Note:
Shortlisted candidates will be expected to undergo a practical assessment.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 183 279-R 215 892 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
