A minimum of 7 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration as Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing. |

Basic R425 qualification (i.e. diploma/degree in nursing) or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as Professional Nurse. |
|
|
Good managerial, supervisory and decision-making skills. Proficiency in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape. Basic computer skills. Knowledge and insight of legislation and policies, relevant to current nursing practice within the Public Service. Disciplinary and conflict management skills. |

Registration with the SANC as Professional Nurse. |
|
|
Supervise the unit and ensure proper utilisation of physical, human and financial resource in accordance with legislation and policies. Provide management support, guidance and direction to personnel under her/his supervision towards the realisation of strategic goals and objectives. Maintain constructive working relationships with multi-disciplinary team work and other relevant stakeholders. Participate in health promotion initiatives, HAST audits and contribute to their evaluation and improvement plans. |

Remuneration:
|
Grade 1: R 497 193-R 559 686 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
