Senior Administrative Officer: Support Services (Corporate Services)

Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Above average computer and software literacy. Ability to work independently as well as in a team. Knowledge in BAS, CSD, SEB and ECM (Electronic Content Management) would be an advantage. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
 
Minimum educational qualification:
An appropriate 3year National Diploma/Degree or equivalent.
 
Experience:
Appropriate Supervisory experience. Appropriate experience in LOGIS, EPS (Electronic Procurement System). Appropriate experience in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Human resources, Labour Relations, Asset management and Contract Management.
 
Note:
Candidates will be subjected to a Practical test. No payment of any kind is required when applying for this post. Only applicants employed within the Provincial Government: Western Cape will be considered for this post.

Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Supervise Corporate Support Staff. Effective Supervision of assets and stores as per the Supply Chain Management Policies and prescripts. Responsible for recruitment and selection process, effective application of the Staff Performance Management System (SPMS) and procedures. Responsible for all the procurement at the facility and ensure compliance to the PFMA and Financial policies. Effective and Efficient Contract Management. Liaison between Service Provider, Staff, Contract Manager, Facility Manager and Section Heads. Assist Facility Manager with Budgeting and Expenditure Projections. Oversee the correct application of Acts, prescripts, policies, and procedures with regard to Administrative and Support Human Resource Management. Responsible for recruitment and selection process, effective application of the Staff Performance Management System (SPMS) and procedures.
 
Inherent requirement of the job:
Valid (Code B/EB) driver’s license. May be required to work overtime. Good written and communication skills in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 359 517-R 397 104 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
