Inherent requirement of the job:
Valid (Code B/EB) driver’s licence Willingness to travel. Good verbal and written communication skills in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Appropriate (sound) knowledge of all financial systems: BAS, LOGIS. Extensive knowledge of relevant financial prescripts, departmental policies, delegations and procedures. An aptitude for working with financial figures and good organisational, managerial and leadership skills and good interpersonal relations skills. Extensive knowledge and practical experience in Basic Accounting System (BAS), LOGIS and Electronic Procurement Solutions (ePS) and Microsoft Office.
 
Requirements Minimum educational qualification:
Appropriate 3-year Diploma/Degree.
 
Experience:
Appropriate and proven experience in Finance/Revenue and Supply Chain Management. Appropriate proven supervisory experience.

Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Responsible for overall management for all Supply Chain Management functions and ensure the effective and efficient application of procurement policies and processes, Demand, Acquisition, Contract, Logistics, Asset and Disposal Management within the sub-district. Inventory control and warehouse management – this includes regular feedback to end users. System Management (ensure system controller functions are carried out as well as the maintenance of the system) and approver duties on BAS, Logis and EPS. Management of Creditor’s Payments and Management of contract payments. Effective and efficient Account Management. Accurate and timeous preparation of reports and assist with the compilation of the Annual and Interim Financial statements. Manage all reporting requirements in respect of Revenue Administration for the sub-district. Ensure audit compliance and handle audit queries related to Finance, SCM and render a support function to management. Manage all People Management related functions allocated to the post of SAO within the SCM, Finance and Revenue components.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 359 517-R 397 104 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
