5 Years' experience as Artisan after obtaining the Trade Test Certificate. |

A valid (CodeB/EB) driver's licence. Attend to emergencies including after-hours repairs and standby duties. Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) in two of the three official languages of the Western Cape. |

Appropriate Electrical Trade Test Certificate with Red Seal. |
|
|
Knowledge of the Machinery and Occupational Health and Safety Act and safety standards. Good verbal and communication skills. Computer literacy, report writing and compilation of specifications. Sound knowledge of electrical wiring of hospital equipment, plant, laundry equipment and machinery including generators. Competent in generator maintenance such as safety tests, testing of generator sets and LV maintenance and sub-fields. Competent in MV and LV maintenance and switching, authorised to execute MV switching together with Portfolio of Evidence. |

Manage, supervise and control of electrical workshop, electrical plant and machinery asset control. Do maintenance, fault location, repairs and servicing of MV/LV cables and plant, machinery and equipment, and switchgear. Provide project management assistance and minor specification writing. Standby and emergency callouts required. Administrative duties including investigations, developing solutions and rendering technical and ensure safety standards are met with the refernce to OHS Act. Assist in ordering, procurement and control of maintenance material and equipment. |

Remuneration:
|
Grade A: R 344 811 per annum - R 389 592 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
