Clinical Programme Coordinator: Grade 1, Community Based Services (Comprehensive Health)

Experience:
A minimum of 7 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration as Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing.
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Ability to think strategically and analytically, work independently, as well as the ability to interpret and implement policies and guidelines. Computer literacy (i.e. MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
 
Minimum educational qualification:
Basic R425 qualification (i.e. diploma/degree in nursing) or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as Professional Nurse. (This dispensation is only applicable for posts of Clinical Programme Coordinator where it is an inherent requirement of the post, incumbent to maintain registration with the SANC).
 
Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Holistic management, policy implementation and services coordination of mental health, chronic diseases of lifestyle, food service management, allied health services, palliative care, etc across the district health services platforms. Monitoring and evaluation of the quality of services, wrt prevention, promotion, curative and rehabilitation services. Support integrated services delivery models in the reset, recovery and resurgence strategy to improve outcomes. Monitoring and Evaluation of integrated Health services performance linked to specific indicators in the district health plan and annual performance plans to improve health outcomes. Interface management with all stakeholders, incl WOSA, WOGA, internal and external structures to enhance implementation of COPC principles and wellness.

Registration with a professional council:
Registration with the SANC as a Professional Nurse.
 
Inherent requirement of the job:
Valid (Code B/EB) drivers licence. Willingness to work overtime when required and travel in the district or province as may be required. Ability to communicate in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
Grade 1: R 497 193-R 559 686 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
